Utah aka Hot Toddy is my little buddy until the first weekend of April until he goes to his new family.  He has been doing fantastic with potty training and even better with his retrieving!!  He is retrieving frozen pigeons outside and is doing a wonderful job; I could not ask for anything more from the little guy.  Utah has been hanging out with Beret; Beret is a little (24.9lb) female out of Mini and Amos…Beret likes that he is smaller than her which gives her the advantage when they are wrestling.  He is just the right size for her to play with; she actually gets to win when romping with him; normally she is on the bottom of any dog piles around here because she is the smallest poochie I own.  Utah did a great job when we put in him micro chip;  I cant say that about some of the older dogs though.  All puppies will now go to their new families with a micro chip.  I am always excited when I can provide more to the families that welcome a Harvest Hunters puppy into their family!

Rocket Fuel and Hot Toddy are my boys for the next couple of weeks.  They are doing great with their retrieves everyday and potty training is going great.  They love to snuggle…my sweet boys!

On another note, the potty training is going great.  Few accidents and the kiddos let me know when they need to go out.  They are vocal; which is fantastic, I want them to communicate with me that they need to go out to the bathroom.

I have been reading lots of story books to them.  I have to say that their favorite is Heroes of the Bible.  I sit down on the floor with them and they ALL crawl into my lap and look at me with big blue soon to be brown eyes and wait for me to start to read so they can fall asleep.  By the time I have licked my finger to turn the last page I have 9 deep sleeping, dreaming, twitching, puppies.  I would video it but, it is hard to do when you only have two hands and one of them is normally cradling Rocket Fuel and holding a book in the other…if only I had a third hand!  I will soon though, Tim will be home soon on leave and then I will have TWO extra hands to help out and to snuggle and love puppies.

All 9 puppies were given a clean bill of health at the vets office at their 6 week check up and shots.  I am so blessed to have 9 healthy, spunky, happy, and adorable puppies.  I could not ask for anything more!!  I am so excited for their new families to welcome them into their homes!

They are on the move and not slowing down!  “Catch me if you can,” is their new motto!

The house is full to the brim with puppy noises; they love to torment each other.  Pretty soon I will not be able to hear my self think. Potty training is going great; they can almost make it through the night with out having to go out.  They all wake me up to let me know they have to go.

The Nog surfing on Zippy (Roomba: IRobot vacuum).  He is soooo cute! He enjoyed it!  NOG!!!

The puppies are hungry and they don’t mind having to eat on the run!

I can breathe a sigh of relief and so can my Kenmore Canister Vacuum.  The whelping box is gone along with all of its wonders.  Potty training has begun and the puppies don’t know what to think about being taken outside every 2 hours into the cold.  SoBe had a small panic attack when she came in from outside and the whelping box was gone.  Actually, she was more disappointed; because, now when she is in trouble she has no safe haven to go hide in. “I am with my babies you can’t take me away,” was the look I would get from her but, no more hiding in the confetti and in the sweetness of newborn babies, she will be disciplined now for her counter surfing.  Didn’t you know, SoBe has her pro card in counter surfing and I am trying to take away her championship title.  The puppies get a little cold outside but, soon enough they will be romping around when their winter fur grows in.  I took new portrait pictures as well today; the key is to do it when they are sleepy so they cant move so fast.  My toes are already protesting their sharp little needle teeth; I think it is time to find the slippers.  Good night all…sleep tight don’t let the bed bugs bite!
