Fair Hours! Fair Wages!

Fair hours; fair wages is what my vacuum cleaner is screaming. It is threatening to go on strike now that the puppies are in shredded magazines; it wants its union representative. The paper is everywhere; it looks like New Years eve here everyday. My poor vacuum is being used 5 to 6 times a day; the noise which was a merry hum is now a strong protest. When the hubby calls from over seas he is always asking, “Are you vacuuming again?” I am finding shredded paper on my bed and even under the covers, floating in the bathtub and toilet, in the laundry, everywhere. The paper hitches a ride on the poochies (Mini and SoBe) that are continuously in and out of the whelping box. SoBe’s ears look like they have been dipped in rainbow confetti; I must say they are very colorful but the never ending shedding of the pieces of magazine are not appreciated by my loud over worked Kenmore Canister Vacuum. I can’t wait until I can start potty training and get rid of the whelping box and all the colors it holds…….no more shredded paper!

My dad read the puppies Winnie the Pooh and Tiger Too; SoBe decided she wanted to listen too, she stayed there for the entire book. The first thing my dad said when he got here was, “They have grown so much; look at how big they are!” He made a straight bee line for the whelping box and scooped up Hot Toddy and then Island Girl; there is no doubt that the puppies are not just getting love from me but my family as well. The babies are SPOILED!

Oh the babies are getting bigger! My sweet little boys are such big lovies. Hot Toddy, The Nog, and Rocket Fuel (he is a happy puppy; tail ALWAYS wagging) spent cuddle time with me while I watch Army Wives. Palmer Cocktail, Yale Cocktail, and Black and Tan watched 2 episodes of Jericho. They are great cuddle buddies; I can still fit a couple on them on my lap so for now I scoop up an armful to snuggle while chilling with some Netflix.

The babies had their first bath today and had their nails trimmed; I had the help from my friend Emily. She is addicted like the rest of us in the house to the cuteness of the babies. You can not walk by the whelping box with out scooping one up in your arms and giving them LOVE. If you need a pick me up grab a puppy. I wish I could send a puppy in a blink of the eye over seas to my husband; he needs some puppy love, he is feeling lonely for his furry four legged kiddos. Posting video is the best way I know how to give Tim a piece of home that he is yearning for. Here you go honey, meet the puppies!

30lbs or 100lbs?

When Tim and I bought a new bed a couple years ago I was convinced that a queen would be big enough; Tim shook his head in disbelief and chuckled, “whatever you want dear….I think we should go bigger.” Well, the hubby was right. Last night I spent most of the night trying to move not one, not two, but four furry four legged children out of the way so I could at least lay down in bed. Tim is gone so, his side of the bed is empty (I still sleep on my side) and I decided to fill the void with a dog or two….yeah not so much. I now have four 100lb rocks in bed that are absolutely NOT moving for anything. I understand that the bed is toasty and comfy; I want to enjoy it too! I can say their names and the just simply play dead; who knew that 30lbs of dog could be so difficult to move; it is like moving cinder blocks that are bolted to the bed. When I call their names to get their attention they might respond with the arch of an eyebrow but nothing more….I get the “are you talking to me look?” YES, I am talking to you! Grrrrr……poochies I need my sleep, this is my bed so, MOVE!
