I understand that the bed is toasty and comfy; I want to enjoy it too! I can say their names and the just simply play dead; who knew that 30lbs of dog could be so difficult to move; it is like moving cinder blocks that are bolted to the bed. When I call their names to get their attention they might respond with the arch of an eyebrow but nothing more….I get the “are you talking to me look?” YES, I am talking to you! Grrrrr……poochies I need my sleep, this is my bed so, MOVE!

Trixie and Kahlua helped me set up the Christmas Tree…..they watched with interest as I hanged all the stockings….Yes all 14 of them. Tim is gone again; he is at Fort Lee in Virgina. I know that he will be excited that the tree is up. He has been bargaining with me to put it up since before Thanksgiving….the deal I made was as soon as the snow stays on the ground the tree can go up and here I am in the middle of a blizzard! It is a beautiful tree; don’t you agree?

Took Mini into the vet the other day just to have her looked over; she has been extraordinarily whiny and weepy. The ultrasound showed happy active puppies; we stopped counting at 6. I could see their little spines and ribs and one even waved at me with its tiny paw. Mini is being especially vocal; she is letting me know what she is feeling and how she wants help onto the bed…yep, she is too big to get up by herself now. I can feel the little babies in her when I rest my hand on her tummy; I even felt a little heart beat….what a miracle…..I am excited to welcome them into the world with a big smile and “Happy Birthday!”
My SoBe baby is coming home this weekend from Chuck’s! I am so excited to have her home to get some awesome hunting in and lots of love. Mini can’t quiet cover the ground in the field with her waddle but, I know she would….she loves to hunand has an undying dedication to please me.

Chuck will be running her in the Open at West Allis and then her trial season will be complete. I am busy hunting and having a blast doing it! Mini is getting heavier and her boobies are getting bigger…..I am guessing still that she is pregnant; I never want to say for sure until a puppy pops out; weirder things have happened.

Trixie, Micro, and Logic playing in the living room with Mini watching. Mini has been moody the last week…ugh (she better be pregnant because I am not putting up with the attitude for nothing)! My friend Andy made a count down to when puppies are due that is located on the upper right hand side of the screen of the website above the search bar; he did a great job! SoBe is with Chuck running in the Open and Amateur in Wisconsin then he will be headed to Minnesota to run her in the Open in Minnesota. Mini and I have been going hunting; she has a blast! Andy and I are working on a training log to post so you can all see the different training and hunting I do with all the poochies; I am hoping that it will be ready soon.

The trialing season started yesterday (Saturday, October 2) and I ran SoBe and Miata. Miata was out in the first series. SoBe had an Ok first series but a FANTASTIC 2nd series with two 50 yard retrieves (she buttoned both of them). She ran great could of not asked for anything more. Her first series was just a little too rough for the judges to bring her back for a third series.

I have been busy doing yard work with Mighty. She is yard steady now we need to get her doing board flushes….should be fun. I am hoping that she will be steady by the 18 of October, so I can run her in the puppy stakes in Wisconsin. She is a fast learner!

Micro and Logic are working on retrieves out in the yard now and are coming right back with the pigeon. We will start quartering them soon.

I dusted off Beret and have been giving her FROZEN pigeon retrieves…yes, she needs frozen birds. She is doing good and I think that we will start quartering her with the puppies.

Mini is going to run in the Open at the St Croix trial; Chuck will run her. I will be running Miata and SoBe. I am excited to get Mini back; it will be great to have her snuggled between Tim and I in bed….it is getting cold out dontcha know?
